Description

Lot#2  Colt Lightning Medium Frame Pump Action Rifle in 44 Cal with 26″ Barrel.  This iconic rifle was the made in the 3rd year of production of this gun in 1886, where there were only 90,000 produced between 1884 and 1902.  This is a survivor and it appears to be in its original configuration.  There is some blued finish remaining on this one, but it is starting to turn a grey patina.  The wood is good with no crack or big chunks missing, but there are plenty of small dents and bruises on the stock.  The forearm is nice with just some smoothing to the checkering.  Overall a very nice example of a hard to find Medium Frame Lightning.  Serial #:  12771.   Quite a collector piece here.         Estimated Value: Low: $2,700  High: $3,200
