Description

Lot#2  Standard Arms Company Model M in .30 Rem with 25″ Custom Barrel.  This very unique pump action rifle was manufactured between the years 1910 and 1914.  After the failure of the Pump/Semi-Auto gas operated rifle, Standard Arms produced the Model M in pump action only.  This too was a limited production rifle manufactured at the Wilmington, Delaware plant between Sept 1910, with the plant closing 1914.   The gun features a blade front sight, elevated rear sight, ornate brass butt plate and ornate brass forearm.  The cast brass slide handle and buttplate had a Japanese styled black enamel finish.  Cartridges are fed from the bottom into an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate.  The gun is in very good condition for its age with no cracks or chips in the wood and the bluing is turning to a nice even grey patina with not pitting or rust at all.  The brass forearm and butt plate are excellent.  The gun also includes cleaning rods in a pouch and a parts list manual.  What a unique collectible.  Try finding another one.  Estimated Value: Low: $850 High: $1,200
