Description

Lot#79 Smith & Wesson Model 36 “Chief’s Special” in 38 Special with 1 7/8″ Pinned Barrel. This early revolver features a great blue finish, beautiful checkered walnut grips with silver S&W medallions which are numbered to the gun,  fixed sights and case hardened hammer and trigger.  The gun comes in its original two-piece blue box with matching end label, cleaning kit with screwdriver, owner’s manual and other misc. factory paperwork.  The bluing is in excellent condition with small handling marks and slight cylinder ring.  The grips are very nice with just with moderate thinning to some of the edges.  The action is crisp with a fine bore. Box is in average condition overall.   Great collectible.  Estimated Value: Low: $550 High: $650
